Description du film :
Sebastian is a physics professor at Jena University. For years he has been researching the idea of parallel universes and the possibilities of their existence. Oscar, his old friend from his student days, who works as physicist at the CERN facility in Geneva, is amused by Sebastian’s dedication to the many-worlds-theory.
While Sebastian’s wife Maike is vacationing in the mountains, Sebastian wants to take their son Nikki to summer camp in order to have more time for his studies. But during s stop at a gas station, Sebastian’s son disappears from the car. An anonymous kidnapper contacts devastated Sebastian, who turns to Oscar for help. Sebastian starts to loose his grip on reality: Are these things really happening? And what is the role of the mysterious Schilf, who suddenly entered Sebastian’s life?
Adaptation of the eponymous novel by Juli Zeh.
